From the moment you arrive in Chiang Mai, you'll be enchanted by the sights, sounds, and smells of this exotic land. From the luscious green landscapes to the friendly locals, there's something truly magical about the North.
I've spent many months in Chiang Mai as a student of traditional Thai bodywork, also known as Nuad Thai or Thai Yoga Massage. I’ve gotten to know the city well and I'm looking forward to taking you to my favorite local spots and sharing the healing magik of the people and the land with you!
Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Thailand! Settle in and get ready for an incredible week. This evening, we will gather for a welcome dinner to get to know each other. We stay overnight in Chiang Mai, and if time permits, I’ll take you to my favorite place for a foot massage!

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel and then we head out on a cycle tour of rural Thailand with the Lanna Countryside and Ancient Ruins. We travel to the outskirts of Chiang Mai and cycle through rural villages, rice fields and farms, observing some of the Northern Thai life. We’ll be on the lookout for spirit houses and the magic of Thai culture!
In the evening your Guide will take you to a Night Market Street Eats Tour to sample some of Chiang Mai’s legendary street food…and possibly another foot massage (I like to get them daily when in Chiang Mai if I can!)

Day 3
This morning your Northern Thai adventure we hike through the mountain villages of Chiang Dao. The staggering beauty of the mountainous jungle hike is no ordinary walk, it’s a cultural experience as we hike through the hill villages of the Karen and Lisu tribes. The hike continues onto Bua Tong Waterfall which translates to ‘Sticky Waterfall.’ Made of limestone and mineral deposits, the source of the waterfall is a calcium-rich spring that feeds into the rocks below. Over time, the deposits have given the rocks a grippy texture. From the base of the waterfall, you will be able to climb up the 3 tiers to the top. It’s super fun and it’s likely to bring out your inner child!

Day 4
Today we make our way from Chiang Mai to Pai, and get to stop in what is sure to be one of the trip highlights, a visit to the Elephant Nature Park. This elephant rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary is dedicated to the conservation of these majestic creatures. It’s a legitimate organization and a model for the world in animal rescue.
Upon arrival in Pai, you will embark on a walking tour of the night market. The night markets are central to Thai lifestyle and culture. The feeling is always festive and delicious food plentiful.

Day 5
This morning we travel to Soppong for a whitewater rafting adventure. The rafting journeys through 28 miles of untouched jungle and winds its way through a wildlife sanctuary. The surrounding lush tropical forests are filled with 300+ bird species and an abundance of animals. The rapids will take us past some beautiful scenery, pristine waterfalls and hidden caves and we even get to dip in a hot spring along the way!
Return to Pai in the afternoon for some leisure time to relax.

Day 6
This morning is at your leisure, with an optional massage (highly recommend!) before we set out to travel back to Chiang Mai.
In the late afternoon, we gather for our final farewell dinner.

Day 7
The journey home begins. It’s always hard to depart after such amazing adventures, but it’s not goodbye as we have a bunch of new family…..it’s “see you soon”. xo

When do I receive the final itinerary?
This trip is organized by Trovatrip. They will provide a finalized itinerary including hotel and transportation information at least 2 weeks prior to your trip including all necessary travel information.
Is Street Food Safe?
Yep! Thailand has incredible food, and our local guide will be taking us on a walking tour to try out the famous Thai street food. It is a culture and gastronomic experience!!
Do I need to participate in all the listed activities?
Not at all, while you will be able to participate in all the activities listed on your trip, we understand sometimes you may want to do your own thing.
What level of fitness is required to participate?
During our adventure hikes are part of your nature experience. The hikes will be appropriate for anyone with an average level of fitness. We have a great deal of ability to customize the length of the hikes!
Do people travel solo?
Absolutely! Don’t feel pressured to find someone to join you on a trip. Part of the experience is joining a group of adventure seeking women and exploring this great big, wild world!
